Feed management plays a crucial role in shrimp farming for minimisation of pond pollution and improving the profitability. Shrimp feeds are manufactured in both crumble and pellet forms. The shrimp survival and growth rate are to a great extent dependent on good feed and balanced nutrients. The limiting nutrient factors in feed and feed wastage would lead to growth related problems and outbreak of few diseases in shrimp farming. In order to provide the balanced diets, farmers need to mix feed supplements and immuno-stimulants along with feeds. However, the powder form feed supplements and immuno-stimulants need to mix with feed using binder for easy administration and minimum wastage. Geltec Aqua has formulated with essential nutrients and attrac- tants which provided in gel form to bind powder form medicines, gut probiotics and supplements with feeds. Geltec Aqua has a rich nutrient value as well as pellet binding property.
